Tetra Tech, through its subsidiary Tetra Tech ARD ( a US-based international development firm is implementing a USAID-funded project 'the Tanzania Water Resources Integration Development Initiative (WARIDI) which seeks to achieve improvements in health, water resources management, agriculture, climate change adaptation and the environment in Tanzania. Win rock Intemational (, a US-based international non-profit Organization , is a sub-contractor to Tetra Tech on WARIDI and is supporting its implementation.
Tetra Tech and Winrock are advertising for the following positions to be based in the Office (except where noted). All applicants should be Tanzanian citizens and be fluent in Swahili and English. Some positions are immediate and some will be phased in over the coming 3 - 4 months. Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements

Engagement Coordinator (2 posts) -.Morogoro or Iringa Office

Minimum of 8 years' experience in coordinating/managing field-level operations in Tanzania. Demonstrated track record effectively coordinating integrated rural development projects. Experience with' individual and community capacity building, particularly related to water user associations and agricultural extension, including a strong gender focus. Experience with water, hygiene and sanitation programs and agricultural income generation projects.

Minimum Bachelor's degree in rural water, agriculture, rural livelihoods, sociology, or related area.

The Engagement Coordinators for the WARIDI program will help design, coordinate and ensure successful implementation of project field-level activities. (S)He will play a critical role in program design, implementation and coordinating events with staff for various program activities. Key field-level implementation activities will focus on the supervision and support to Engagement Agents for the facilitation of work between Districts/Villages/Other Actors and the WARIDI Program. Work will also involve helping to design and coordinate various training events at District and Village levels.
