Human Resources Business Partner ( Lake Zone)

The incumbent will be responsible to provide HR solutions to a portfolio of business units and be the principle point of contact with both Senior Leadership of Head Office and Zonal Management for HR related issues.

Core responsibilities include:

Liaise with business to ensure vacancies are filled as per agreed resourcing SL
Improve resourcing efficiencies, at least 90% of key position to be filled by staff identified as potentials.
Monitor all probation for new staff and ensure timely confirmation / termination
Manage exit process according to the Exit policy
Ensure quality PD plans are in place for staff as per PD calendar
Ensure accurate ratings are submitted on time to Performance Management unit on time.
Monitoring and follow ups on the progress of those employees that do not meet performance standards have PIP’s and ensure successful close up.
Drive initiatives to proactively build long-term talent pipeline
Facilitate quarterly talent and succession reviews with a clear focus
Ensure effective identification of training needs and implementation of the training framework for the zone.
Support the implementation of development plans for key staff.
Improve HR efficacy by assisting Line Managers and their teams in demonstrating NMB Values
Actively work on improving Employee Engagement
Monitor and ensure closure of EOS Action Plans and active participation of staff in surveys.
Ensure 100% adherence to HR Policies and procedures.
Ensure achievement of Green Audits in all the areas.
Ensure that all controls and risk measures are observed and properly documented for records.
Ensure all people risks are well managed across the business units regarding HR Compliance related matters
Develop a trusting and mutual respect relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure good employee relations through effective relations and the relationship with all stakeholders, including staff representatives.
Proactively identify potential conflict and harmonize situation
Focus on good employee relations and best practices.
Generate and implement ideas to increase staff productivity.
Develop a strong sense of co-operation and team work amongst teams.
Initiate disciplinary procedures where necessary.

Change management skills.
Ability to managing relationships.
Excellent communication skills for both English and Swahili
Good in planning
Managerial and leadership skills (Analytical, Conceptual and resourcefulness)
Strong interpersonal and networking skills for both internal and external customers
People Management
Ability to build and develop high performing Teams
Good Understanding of HR Metrics
Profound understanding of the business and its strategy
Strong computer skills; proficient in outlook, word, excel and power point
Good understanding of HR Processes and Best Practices
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Science or any other related field.
HR Certification is an added advantage
Ability to handle fairly complex HR projects independently.
Hard working, enthusiastic, dedicated, and goal oriented
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
